Q: Where do you get your books?
A: We buy and trade for books in the store, find them at yard sales, flea markets, library and estate sales, and thrift stores. We plow through the crap so you don't have to!

Q: Why did you move?
A: It was the Harmonic Convergeance. Multiple factors led us to the decision - new ownership of the property, our lease was up, lack of parking & other retail entities, general declining condition of the building - we'll write a book about it someday and call it, "That Vibrant Retail Experience We Missed"

Q: Where's the cats?
A: Montag, our male mackerel tabby, retired from public life in January '03, preferring to live at home with his new girlfriend. Lenore, our elegant tri-tabby, passed away in July '03. Celeste, the grey and white Oriental passed away in June '04. Carmen, the tabby who has been with us since Thanksgiving '99 officially retired May '05 and is now a member of our home security team.

Q: Do you take credit cards?
A: You betcha. Visa, MasterCard & Discover. Check cards and cash work just fine, too. Sadly, we no longer accept personal checks.

Q: Do you ship books? Are you online?
A: We do ship - and while we don't have a complete online catalog, we do take requests via e-mail. We made the decision a few years ago to be primarily a bricks-and-mortar store. We'll have a few titles listed in our Online Oddities section as we come across interesting things from time to time that don't quite fit in with our regular stock and would do better with a wider audience.

Q: Do you have your stock on computer?
A: There's no compelling reason to do so. The world has enough noise and confusion. We like being low-tech. There's less to go wrong.

Q: What are your hours?
A: We're open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Tuesday thru Sunday; we're closed on Mondays and some holidays.

Q: Are you hiring?
A: Nope.
